Hi, I've got a conexant softmodem for which I am trying to install the drivers for. These are generic drivers from the mnf website who unfortunatly do not supply tech support as they produce, according to them, only chipsets and not modems??????? and the retailer who sent me the product also does not provide tech supp for linux. I have Caldera OL V1.3 that has all the updates installed-kernal2.2 recent c librarys and a recent RPM. Can you help me install these drivers ?.

You may want to go the Linux "flavor's" website to see what software and/or drivers are compatible for that version As you know, Linux is very fussy about the hardware it will support.
