How to read DBX files?

I had a problem some time ago with lost e-mails. I was given some instructions to find them, but, on finding some files I couldn't open them. an error message saying "windows cannot find AcroRd32.exe. this program is needed to open these types of DBX files." I have tried using acrobat 4 and acrobat 5 but I still cannot open them. Adobe.com don't have AcroRd32.exe. what is it and how do I get one??

Outlook Express 5 has added the possibility of reading mail archives in the format DBX This may be an option you want to try.
