Upgrading from 98 to XP

Can I uninstall my windows 98 from the old computer and install my new Gateway Xp into old computer? If no how do I download Upgrade Window 98?

First make sure your computer can run XP Secondly, backup your data to a TapeBackup You can then restore your files from the Tapebackup to the disk drive Windows 98 and Windows XP are not compatible.

Then format your C: drive before attempting upgrading to Windows XP
