Hi there, i have just put a pc together consisting of the real basics, the motherboard is manufactured by compaq and the only other component in there is a 3dfx voodoo 3500. when i shut down the computer it will not start again, i switch the computer on, and a light comes on the motherboard but thats it. i previously solved this problem by taking out the battery on the m/brd overnight and it was happy to boot up the next day, foolishly i shut the pc down again and i'm stuck again! Do i have to take the battery out 12hrs before every time i wish to put my computer on ?

HELP ME!!!

(please!

Based upon what i found on the compaq website, the voodoo3 3500TV is only supported by 95 and 98 You can use NT too, but you have to use the 2000/3000 drivers to get NT to work Basically, if your using 2000 server, novel or whatever the voodoo3 3500TV WONT work and this is why

you might be having problems with your computer shutting on and off and why you have to keep taking your battery out.Not to get off the subject, but if you want real performance on your computer you might want to step up your processor speed and maybe your ram to 128MB.Computers love processor speed and memory!!!I hope this helps
