Random sustem shut off

Hi, I have a pentium 4 2.2, a Nvidia graphics card and windows xp.But here is my problem. My computer shuts off randomly. I will just be playing and my computer will shut off and restart its self right away. It happens about once every 2 weeks. I have no idea what to do and what could cause my computer to just shut off like its doing. I hope you can help.

The first place I would start is to check the memory usage Is this happening when you use a particular game or software? When you have been using several programs (even though you close them before moving onto the next program) they do not always release the memory they occupy Also if you have inadaquet ventilation and the system gets over heated the system will shut off randomly
