Might be a cartridge problem or a driver problem

Why has my Canon BJC 2000 started to print only solid horizontal lines ? I reinstalled the print drivers & that all goes fine. When I print a test page, all I get is solid lines (Black with a rainbow border on top) were all the text should be. Everything seems to work as expected (the Canon utilities pop up & indicate no problem ; the pape feeds ; but where there should be text, there are only solid lines. thanks for your assistance.

You might be having a problem with the cartridge (especially if it

hasn't been changed in a year) also, you might not have the right

driver installed Try these two items and email us back if these

suggestions don't work.
