IRQ Conflicts

My Diamond supramax 56k USB modem works fine untill i install my new Lexmark z35 USB printer and then it still dials and sends password etc. Then waits to connect but when it connects it hangs up. If i uninstal the printer it works fine again. My op.system is WinMe. The printer and modem are connected into seperate usb ports in the PC

Your two devices are fighting over the same IRQ The factory presets IRQ's on alot of hardware They often cause conflicts You can change the IRQ for either the printer or the modem in the control panal icon for the modem or the printer You may want to read in the help menu for conflicting IRQ's and how to override the factory setting Good Luck!
