Upgrading Motherboard do I reinstall OS?

When changing motherboard and using current drives will I

have to re-install operating system or will it read it off

my current hard drive? I am using windows Xp

This question was answered on September 13, 2002. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


When upgrading to a new motherboard you should not need to reinstall your operating system on your hard drive You will need to call Microsoft to re-regisater the OS If you have problems after the upgrade then reinstalling your operating system may want to be considered Good Luck!
