I have a 40G hard drive which I have partitioned using PartitionMagic v7. The boot partition has XP installed whereas I have installed 98SE on the non-boot section. I have an Intel modem installed but this is not recognized by 98SE as it looks in COM1 or COM2 only whereas the modem is in COM3 in XP. I have tried to have 98SE access the modem so that I can get on the net and download directly into that section. So far I have had no luck - how do I get 98SE to "see" the modem? Am I asking for the impossible?

Hi,

I would check to make sure your IRQ's are ok Also make sure you have the right drivers for the right modem make sure your modem will work with windows 98SE.
