I just found out that I had the Acebot Virus. I would like to know, to the best of your knowledge how concerned I should be about the information that is on my computer. There are many documents, including all my account numbers and mortgage information, Quicken, and Income Tax Forms. I am so worried that the information is now out there for anyone to steal. I did not even realize that my Virus Scan software had been disabled. How do you think I should handle this?
Thanks
Toni

Hi,
I would defininetly buy a over the counter firewall solution and install it in my computer.Firewalls are designed to keep people out of your computer Also a company by the name of Trend Micro makes a great
anti virus software solution Unlike many virus protection software out there, this software actually scans the attachment you obtain form the internet and scans it for viruses before the attachment hits your computer.
