New operating systems override old operating systems

Is there a safe way to install win98 overtop of a computer delivered with winME? The implied here is "without deltree'n

windows and starting over".

Hi,

anytime you buy a new operating system and install it on a computer,

the old operating system will be deleted.There are no shortcuts, you have to treat this as a new install.
