I am attempting to upgrade Windows 95 to Windows 98 Second Edition. The Windows 98 SE Set up will not accept the Windows 95 Product ID styled NNNNN-OEM-NNNNNNN-NNNNN (where N is a number) when I try to enter it in the new style xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx Boxes. How do I overcome this mismatch.

I have the full version of Windows 95 and the upgrade version of Windos 98 Second Edition.

Hi,

You might try getting a full version of the windows 98 SE You don't have to worry about enterting the product code for 95, only 98 SE.Please install your 98 SE CD into the CD ROM and enter the product

code Then just follow the instructions It always easier to just do a "clean install"rather than an upgrade
