Hi,

There might be a host of differenet problems why your network is running slow? Are you running a switch or a hub? What kind of applications are you running?how many applications are you running. In todays pcs you buy as well as the motherboards, most Nic acrds are plug and play meaning, you don't have to mess with drivers.
