Until a week ago, our Brother HL-8e Printer worked fine.

Now, it only prints garbled and blank pages. I have tried the following:

1. Scanned for bugbear virus (nothing came up)

2.Tried to reinstall driver through printer control panel. (twice. Still same problem)

3. Attached printer to our laptop (works fine when I do this).

What do I do next?

I would say it needs an updated driver accept the printer works on your laptop You may need to do a Windows Update to get new drivers and patches for your operating system an latest BIOS update.

I suspect you also need to uninstall the printer from your desk top then reinstall it from the original CD or installation disk that came with your Printer when purchased You could scan the files to find out if any are corrupt-although it takes just as much time to uninstall /reinstall from the manufacture installation CD or disks You may want to do the scan to see if other problems are indicated but unaware of

If the uninstall/reinstall fails you need to call HP support and they can send you new installation disks or CD's or download a new driver if needed Good News is it is not the printer it is the software program Good Luck!
