Missing or corrupted registry subkey

Why, when I go to Safe Mode, is the PS2 mouse not detected? I can find no reference to this problem anywhere on the web. I am using a Logitech M-BJ58 mouse. I have the same problem with another Logitech mouse, M-C48 on the same PS2 port

Either is detected when going to Windows and operate normally, but windows does not detect either mouse when going to Safe Mode.

You probably need to reload the mouse driver.
