I would check your IRQ settings

I have just formatted my hard drive and my system can't find my printer. The printer is connected via a USB port which works if my scanner is plugged into it. The printer works when connected to another PC therefore the printer and the cable seem to be OK.

Hi,

Check in the control panel the system stuff When in there go to hardware manager.

It sounds like you might have an IRQ conflict between your devices Check your IRQ settings.
