That is in-correct

It is not so much a problem as to just some information.

I installed cable not long ago and now I tend to leave the computer on all or most of the time. Sometimes I forget to turn the printer off and someone told me that if it is on all the time it will cause the ink to dry faster and not last as long. I have not heard this and would like your advice.

That is in-correct!!!!It is advisable to do a good PM (preventative maintenance) on your printer every six months.
