I keep having problems with trying to format a new floppy and reading existing data from a floppy. Final gave up and put in a new drive along with new cable. I am getting the same problems with the new drive that I got with the old drive.

Frustrated.

Try this:

1 go to start,run and in the command box type cmd.

2 a:> format b:

This should format your floppy drive
