Nuts and Bolts was a program which was intended to go into your Windows 95 or 98 machine and fine tune it for optimum performance.

Unfortunately, though well intentioned, it never really seemed to work right Just the other day, I found a copy of Nuts and Bolts lying around in my software bin I never had used it, and tossed it away I think I made a wise decision

An old set of reviews for the product still exists at Amazon.com They contain comments like "Do not buy this." and "I bought this program for around $50 when it first came out, and I ended up paying over $100 for a computer repair shop to fix the computer."

I feel like, by never installing that disk, I may have dodged a bullet.

Anyway, the registry is a very tricky part of the Windows operating system Unless you have an AWFUL lot of determination, a good deal of savvy, specific instructions, and a spare computer, I wouldn't mess with it.

If you do, in the name of all that is good, please back up your registry, FIRST!
