Why does my PC make noises?

My computer makes a lot of noise now as it didn't before. Also when I turned the computer off. I have to jump start it to get it to come back on.

With the little information I have, I would guess you have a bad power supply fan They are not worth replacing If that's not it, the only other components in a PC which can make grinding, squeaking or whirring noises are the CPU fan and the disk drives.

A new power supply costs about thirty or forty dollars.
