My problem really isn't an error, but rather a pain. My computer has saved in its memory my address and zip codes, and other stuff like my mothers maiden name. This info. pops-up in a drop down menu, and I would like to erase some of this. How do I erase this unused info. I just dislike having it on my computer. I am barely proficient on the computer, but follow directions very carefully. Please help. Thank You.

Some PC features are well intentioned, but misguided.

What you describe, Microsoft calls AutoComplete Macs and Linux OS machines, and Excel call it Autofill Refer to these terms when looking for individual references on your Help files, or on the Web.

In Windows Applications, try turning off AutoComplete using Tools > Options > Edit (or Content).

Delete individual AutoComplete items that pop-up by highlighting them and pressing "Delete".

What really gets disconcerting, is seeing your credit card number suddenly appear.
