How do I Configure my High Speed Connection?

I switched from a dialup ISP to a high speed cable. When I try to access Outlook Express, I get an empty dial up connection box asking for account and password. When I cancel the dial up box, I get an error which shuts down Outlook Express so I cannot access Outlook Express to set up an account. I have built an account through the control panel but the dial up still appears. I have the "never dial a connection" selected in internet options connections tab. These options are however "grayed" out and cannot be changed. How can I remove the dial up box from appearing and successfully build a new email account? I have reloaded OE 5.5, and MS Outlook has same symptoms. Is this a registry problem stemming from my old ISP?

Thanks

Pat

There is no point in doing anything which may misconfigure your computer

Call your new internet provider's technical support line I am almost certain they will be able to talk you through it over the phone If not, they owe you a service call.
