Why you need to talk with Microsoft support tech?

I am trying to install a new driver for my UMAX ASTRA 2200 in my new computer and the Windows Imaging Acquisition manager will not release the system to the one provided by Microsoft. According to UMAX Tech Support, the WIA must be set to release. What is the process for modifying the WIA?

You have to call Microsoft Tech Support and ask them how to disable the WIA becasue they provided the software.
