Wher is hard drive?

I added a second drive, 30G, that had data on it, but reboot gets an error message,

"No operating system found. Insert disk."

What BIOS settings should I try? Should I use the XP DISK? I don't want to lose data.

Gigabyte mobo, XP 1600 chip.

First the Hard drive must be partitioned and bios updated Set one drive to master and the other

to slave.
