Why won't my PC defrag?

My computer freezes when I fragment it, it seen it does'nt work anymore

can you help me please.

If your defrag program will not work, or restarts constantly, try booting your PC into Safe Mode (F8 at startup) Run defrag while under Safe Mode If certain files are fragmented, or change the contents of the hard drive while defrag is running, defrag will constantly restart

Running under Safe Mode will solve this problem.

Doing this once will usually fix the problem so that defrag will work in the future after a normal boot.
