Why does my computer freeze while on the net?

MY PROBLEM HAPPENS ONLY WHILE ON THE NET. I WILL CONNECT AND BE ON THE INTERNET FOR ABOUT FIVE MINUTES, AND I WILL TRY TO SCROLL THE PAGE AND THE SCREEN WILL FREEZE. I CANNOT CTRL+ALT+DELETE TO GET OUT AND I HAVE TO REBOOT MANUALLY. THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS EVERYTIME I GET ON THE INTERNET.

Online freezes can be caused by any number of things Some possibilities:

Your video card driver Updating the driver may help the card deal better with online graphics

Also since you have XP its a common issue with IE6 which is built into XP, you can try to reinstall IE6.
