Let Data Doctors be your personal IT department today

I would like to wireless network the Dell unit described above with an IMB, Windows 98se computer. I'm confused with all the terms; gateway, router, switch, adapter etc. I'm thinking of using a 3com Wireless Office Connect Cable/DSL Gateway (3CRWE51196) with a Belkin Wireless USB Adapter F5D6050) Do I need anything more than those two units?

The last article I could find about networking on the Data Doctor was dated January, 2002. I suspect there has been considerable change in networking equipment in the last twelve months.

Thanks for you help!

No, that's actually fine, but you will have to use two of those adapters for each machine, the brand of wireless router and and wireless adapter does not matter because they use the same protocol to transmit and receive signal Networking equipment has been basically the same, but the products has gotten cheaper
