Whenever I shut down my sytem it looses the the settings needed to get online. The cable company (Comcast) provides softeware that determines whatever settings are lost and restores them. The problem is I have to run this software to restore system settings every time I boot up. Mostly the settings it looses are directly related to getting online. At least once howerver it said there were changes to Outlook Express and retored those as well.
Thanks
Rick

You will have to go into control panel and click network this will bring up a network pop up box, in the configuration tab check the components such as dial-up adapters and tcp/ip protocols to see if they are installed if not click the add button and install them Do this with your cable modem subscriber, you shouldn't have use software to get online
