Why does my montior turn off after ten minutes

when my screensaver comes on everthing is fine for a bout ten minutes,then the monitor goes black but you can still hear the screensaver running.i have been into settings in display and checked the turn off hard disk and monitor settings ive turned them to never but the monitor still goes off. ther is only one screensaver that doesnt allow the monitor to turn off and that is just a small freeware one that i downloadedoff the internet .this one works fine and the monitor will stay on all day if you want it to.but all the others ,the screen goes black after ten minutes

..ps i have allso tried the settings on the monitor....can you please help.thanks

Go to your power option properties then in power scheme make sure power schemes are set to always on and that all the setting are set to never then go to advance and make sure that the power button is set to off and that the options are left blank then go to hibernate and enable hibernate support aslo go to your screen saver set you screen saver to 60 minutes this should helpby right clicking your desk top and going into properties and the click on the tab that says screen savers.
