What to do when the sound disapears

the sound in my computer used to work a couple of weeks ago,but then one day i bought a game and installed it but it didnt work because i didnt have an up to date game card, infact i dont even know what kind of game card i have...But anyways the next day i turned on my computer and the sound wasnt workin...so i went in the master volume and the window didnt pop up, i have tried everything...can you please help me?

You need to uninstall the the game by going to start, setting, control panel then the go to, add and remove programs, then click on the game and uninstall it then reboot your computer try this step first some times you might have uninstall and then reinstall your internet provider
