Why am I having problems opening simple jpeg files?

I can recieve e-mail attachments and open them most of the time. I seem to be having problems with simple .jpeg files. Any ideas?

Try this.....

Find any JPG file.

Click on it once to highlight it blue, now hold down the Shift key and keep it held

down, whilst still holding down the Shift key, right click on the JPG file and select

Open With...... from the menu.

Next window look in the list for Iexplore and click on that entry to highlight

it, now tick the box at the bottom of that window to keep the file association, then

OK it and try double clicking on the JPG file, it should open in IE.
