Hi there.

My computer is about 14 months old and therefore just out of warranty. After playing a game the other day the computer crashed and when i went to restart it, it froze on the windows loading screen. Repeated attempts result in the same thing happening. I have tried running a system recovery disk, that freezes too. I have tried to reformat, that freezes too. I have tried to run in safe mode and, guess what, that doesn't work either. Scandisk will not run - like pretty much everything else. I have not used the internet from my home computer for over 6 months and have not installed any new hardware or softwae other than official products. The computer seems to recognise all the hardware is there (graphics card, harddisk, etcc) but nothing seems to get it going. Is it completely dead? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot

John

It could be that your system has a component that is about to go dead abd is causing your system to go haywire or a component that is already dead.

When playing games on your computer video cards and memory usually are the first to go.

Try removing these components..First start with your video card if that fails trying removing your modem, if all fails try removing your memory Remove these components one at a time an dreboot your system after every removal.

I disregarding that maybe it could be other computer because you have stated that you can get to certain parts of your system then your computer freezes That eliminates the hard drive and power supply.

Make sure that all the hardware on your computer is properly connected to where they need to be connected.
