I just assembled this computer. I've checked that all power supply cords are aligned correctly and are going to the correct place. I have not yet re-formatted my hard drive (I want to use the same hard drive with a different motherboard/processor, and I was planning to boot up from CD and have my Windows installer format it for me). The problem is that within 10 seconds of turning on the computer, it turns itself off. My power supply is more than adequate (300 watts) for the hardware I'm running, so what am I doing wrong? Thanks for the help.

The power supply cords might be damaged or the voltage regulater on the mother board is damaged as well.
