I built my computer and it worked great for months. Then I moved and now Ican't even get it on. Off of the motherboard it has four lights. Three are now green, but one stays red. The computer then beeps eight times, pauses, beeps another two, pauses, and beeps another time. Nothing comes on the monitor, but the monitor is on and working properly. Help!!!

What you are hearing are called "POST Codes", and they may point to the cause of your problem POST (Power-On Self-Test) codes vary among machine and BIOS types.

Although, it may be a challenge since you have moved, see if you can locate the manual that came with your motherboard Otherwise, see if you can identify your motherboard by model number or type

My best guess is that something inside your PC worked its way loose during the move But don't take my word for it Do a Google.com search for more specific information.

Use the Term "POST codes" in quotes, just as I have typed it here, next to the motherboard or BIOS type as your search criteria That way, you will be searching for "POST codes" as one term, rather than separate words.
