How may i retrieve my saved emails after Upgrading Windows?

We recently had Windows XP Professional installed. We lost all saved emails prior to that date. Is there any way we can retrieve them or are they lost forever.

Well before you upgraded to Windows Xp it is highly adviced to save all your files to a disk or cd because all files would be lost I dont think there is a way to retrieve the lost e-mails but i would further research and if i find a way i would post it.
