Thanks

Sounds like you need a little human interaction

Even after all these years of PC work, rarely do I set up an Internet dial-up account without calling the support line, even if it's just to find out if there IS a support line.

I'm certain your problem can be fixed in just a few minutes Still, it’s a good thing to locate the phone number of your Internet Provider and keep it at hand You pay for the service, and they need to know when users are commonly experiencing certain problems If you are experiencing the problem above, be certain you are not the only one.

Your provider should supply software and instructions that avoid such situations You should have a ready source of information to solve simple problems before a lot of time is wasted in troubleshooting, and possible misconfiguration.

Meanwhile, check your PC's "Startup" group under "Programs." See if your dialup or IE is listed there If it is, delete it

Next, navigate to IE's Tools - Internet options - Connections tab Options for automatic connection are located there

If the solution becomes apparent, save your IP's phone number, anyway Next time you have them on the line, tell your support tech I said "Hi!"
