When I'm connected to the web, very often the following panel appears - "Rnaapp. This program has performed an illegal operation and will be closed down". It isn't but I would like to get rid of this irritation although no one seems to know how. Dr. Watson says it's a module name WININET.DLL on Internet Extension for Win 32. I have Windows 98. I can't phone a "Help Line" as I'm very deaf and rely a lot on my computer. I'd be very grateful for any suggestions. Regards, Dennis Byatt. ([email protected])

The best advice I can give is to read the article sited here:

This is a problem that has to do with configuration of your dialup I would also forward your letter to your ISP, explaining the situation Allow them the opportunity to answer your request online They may have a quick fix which applies to your particular system and their particular software If your ISP has a local office, don't be shy about requesting that you bring them your PC and have them solve the problem.

If you have to change registry settings in order to solve this problem, backup the registry, first Here's how to back up the registry:

Click on Start > Run and type regedit

Click the Registry menu, then Export Registry File

In the File Name field, type backup

Click Save
