I have 256M memory and run out after loading one program (ie Internet explorer) Free Ram indicates 19% system 19% user 67% GDI I have identified 700M for virtual disk and have set up defrag to optimize this setting.

What else can I do to get better performance. I often crash when running Quicken or Outlook. Since I upgraded to Norton Anti virus 2003 its really gotten bad.

Thx.

All you need to to is add more memory to install memory just open the panel on your computer and then look for the memory chip that you have allready installed to see if you have another space avaliable for a chip then make sure you touch the chase of the computer to get the static electricity out of your body then if you have the space push down on the clips to install the chip hold the sides never touching the compoinents on the chip press both side down while putting it in the slot and then pull the clip up to snap on the the chip to hold it it in place.
