Why you need to call the company?

I would like to know if an older model Compaq Presario (circa 1998) with an AMD processor can be upgraded to a Pentium processor.

This is my Mom's computer. She originally got her system just to do email and word processing. But she has expanded her computer skills and now wants speed and more memory.

We are wanting to compare the cost of upgrading versus just buying a new computer.

Call Compaq support and find out what kind of upgrading you can do with computer also it is cheap to up grade.
