I'm trying to install Windows XP Pro. During the period of downloading the setup files the computer always freezes up and stops. This happens at different intervals every time I shut the computer down and restart the setup process all over again. I have formatted the hard drive and even reinstalled Windows 2000 but to no avail. I have 256 Megs of RAM and the processor is 450 MHz. The computer is homemade so I don't have a vendor to turn too.
