Those options are part of the configurations of your operating system They are there to provide shortcuts to access the properties of your desktop I ve never heard a way that this option can be disabled You can disable the option to use the right click button, which in turn will not let you right click the desktop and see those options But that can only be configured using Group Policy editor in Windows 2000 Professinal and XP Professional

If you are using XP Professional click on the start button scroll uip and click on run, once there type the words gpedit.msc, this will open up the Group Policy Editor.

Warning do not configure any options if you do not know what you are doing...Configuring options there will alter your computer experience....

I would just leave your system the way it is.
