I keep getting interupted with pop up screen. What can I do to fix this?

I am having problems with my pop-up screens. When I want to connect to another site or download a program or even a jpeg, the screen frame pops up but not the content. The content from the site that I am on stays on the screen, but the frame is new. I can't see anything on the new screen pop-up. What can I do to fix this?

Try this to stop thoes Pop-up screens:

1) Click on the Settings button at the top of the screen.

2) Click on Marketing.

3) Click on Pop-Up.

4) Click on the Continue button.

5) Click to put a black dot next to No, I do not want to receive special AOL members-only pop-up offers.

6) Click on the OK button.

7) Close the open windows.
