Why is my System freezing?

Good luck with this question. LOL

Okay I have a pentium III with 256 megs of ram. I was experiencing random system stalls where the system would freeze for a period of time before resuming normal operation. I am to this point not sure of what is causing the problem but I found something very interesting. I loaded the run option from the start menu and typed "command". I then in the dos prompt typed "mem". The reslults are at http://dmctny8.tripod.com/comp.jpg. The confusing part was how two question marks are listed under used (extended memory and total memory) and how more free memory is shown then total memory. This problem stumped several costomer support people.

Well if the System is freezing up the most natural solution is that there are too many programs running at one time or the is to many files stored in the hard drive and your system is in need of more memory You should try and purchase a ram chip compatible with your computer and place it on your motherboard.
