What should I do to bring back the CD-ROM and DVD drives

For sometime now my CD-ROM and DVD drives have been missing. Whenever I got to "My Computer" the CD-ROM is not there. I have tried to load it up again many times but this has failed to bring back the CD-ROM.

Try resetting the jumpers on the drives that are not showing You may have to reinstall drivers also.
