I can not acces bios. How can I fix this?

This question is for a problem to my sons computer.

Whilst trying to boot up by hitting the delete key I cannot access the bios

I recently fitted another cdrom in and all worked well but when he took it home its will not boot up or recognise the main hard drive but I cannot get into the bios

Could you help PLEASE

You could try to remove the cmos battery on the motherboard for a few minutes it should reset the bios.

The easiest way to clear the bios is to locate a small jumper on your motherboard

called 'clear CMOS' or something like that.

If you have your motherboard manual it will tell you in that.

Remove all power from the board and change the jumper across the pins for bout 3 seconds, and put it back, and re-power.

If that doesnt work or you cant locate the jumper-

If you remove the 'small watch battery'(CMOS battery) from your motherboard for 3 days it should restore the motherboard settings to factory defaults.
