well this is going to be hard to explain I think because I dont know all that much computer

lingo but here goes. Well the problem is that my computer will only stay on a 16 color

640x480 display and its not in safe mode and if u change it says it has to restart to make

the changes and it just restarts back to the 16 color carp. I have tried everything I know of

can u help me?

Go to Start, settings, active desktop, click customize my desktop.

The display properties box appears

Click the settings tab

In the color drop down arrow click and select True Color(32bit)

In the screen area move arrow to 1024 by 768 pixels

Click the advanced button

The sis 530 properties box appears

Select the general tab

In the display drop down arrow click and select small fonts

Make sure ask me before applying the new color settings is checked

Click apply

Close display properties box

Select restart computer to install settings.
