What is Printer error?

cannot print from internet pages. get a message-"error writing to LPT1. Problem printing to printer due to unknown system error. Restart and try again." Can print from normal programs (Word)without problem. Have uninstalled and reinstalled printer software a couple of times and when I do can print from internet pages a couple of times and then get the error message?

Seems the problem may be related to some settings on my internet connection or??
