There are a few ways you can install a printer ( after checking if your printer has drivers for your Operating system It usually states this on the printer box If the printer is not compatible with your OS these steps will not work)

1) Plug and Play

2)Cd Rom

3)Printers options under setting on the sart menu

1) When using plug and play what you would basically do is connect the printer cable to the printer port of your computer or a usb cable of the printer to a usb port, start up your computer and let the operating system detect and assist you in installing the printer this would just allow you to view certain options choose the ones that better suit you and printer installion completion.

2) For some reason your computer is not plug and play compliant, disconnect your printer cables and insert the printers cd and following the instruction that showing on your screen and your printer installion should be a piece a cake.

3) IF all these steps fail it might be that your printer may not be compatible with your Operating system Lets try one more step.

Click on the start button on your desktop, scroll up to settings and click on the printers tab

Once there click on add printer, since you dont have aprinter click on the option to install a local computer Foloowing the instructions on the screen and then click on the opion to set the printer as the default printer and then click finish Restart your computer and your printer should work as advertised in the manual.
