Sometimes my Cd/Rom starts up and loads programs normally. Then other times it starts to read the CD but then stops and when I go to explorer to try and see the drive it is not in the menu as if it has not recognised the drive. at this stage I usually have to re-start the PC which sorts the problem out. This is happening more than 50 % of the time. I have checked and cleaned each of the cd's each time to no avail and I'm now at a loss.

Any suggestions? The CD/Rom is a samsung DVD/ROM SD 608?

Regards

Mark

Drive is not recognized.

If the power connector is not inserted, insert it properly

If the interface connector is not inserted, insert it properly

If the jumper-pin setting is wrong, confirm the setting and correct it
