Why is my computer time at 5:15 and when it says 5:40 it's really 6:30?

My system is really hanging up a lot if i'm not using it it will hang up if i stop working on it at 5:15 when I come back to work maybe at 6:30 the clock will have 5:40 it's stop i can't move the mouse or anything but you can hear it running
